We grow vegetables for taste and not for shipping. Most vegetables are picked & sold the same day harvested (in cool of evening or morning) to capture the maximum amount of sugar and flavor. Vegetables are left on the vine until ripe. We use plastic mulch to conrol weeds and drip irrigation to supply water. We use mostly organic compost and some conventional fertilizer. We use no soil applied herbicides and no over the top insecticides. We grow pumpkins with no fungicides so they are good looking city pumpkins to carve and eat.
